Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (The Canary Islands) to parents who owned a Building and estate agency company. Studied in the States and Italy (with ERASMUS grants) and graduated in Architecture from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with specialisation in the areas of Architecture and Town Planning, beginning his professional career in 2000.
At present, living in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and working for the studio of Sánchez Pescador, Architects whose projects have already received recognition in national journals, books and articles. Sánchez Pescador was shortlisted for the Canary Architecture Prize, Manuel Oráa y Arcocha in its twelfth Edition and is an assiduous conference speaker, with many articles published in proceedings and specialist International journals.
He is under contract as technical assessor in various building companies and estate agencies, and Works as Project manager and General Constructor for other national firms. He is presently the Secretary to the Association of Canary Building Developers-Investors, the AEMPIC.
Sánchez Pescador is a Master in Architectural Rehabilitation and Energy Efficiency for Buildings, a course he studied at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. His research over the last few years is directed at producing energy efficient sustainable buildings.
A large part of his work is now carried out in West Africa and Latin America due to his commitment to the PIPE programme run by the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute and the Chamber of Commerce together with the Government of the Canary Islands.
