This is a residential complex within a partial plan annexed to an industrial precinct on the outskirts of Almería that was designed to provide 400 new houses.

The original challenge, apart from the shoestring budget was to offer a quality spatial and formally resolved development, generous in its distribution if not in its material resources. We designed the outer margins of the urban development via its profiles and perspectives. Therefore, the stairwells were lined with bare brick that served as referential landmarks like buttresses that narked the rhythm between the volumes and the voids. Brick was given maximum relevance as a noble material exposed on the minimum surface.

At the same time, these volumes were used to resolve the private areas of the access to each of the semi-detached houses.
